Press Release:

Dayton, Ohio August 14, 2007 -- Moviesforfree.org can’t cure people of their illnesses, however we can help those who are sick, forget about their troubles for a few hours with a favorite comedy, action adventure or even an animated cartoon.

Moviesforfree.org supplies free movie libraries to hospital Oncology Departments; where patients undergo long hours of cancer treatments. The time they spend in the clinic receiving chemotherapy, blood transfusions and other life saving treatments; goes by more quickly while watching familiar and enjoyable movies. The films provide a wonderful distractive therapy.

Moviesforfree.org works with Hospitals, Oncology Treatment Centers and Nursing Homes by providing them with a library of DVD's all free of charge.

Moviesforfree.org asks for donations of gently used or new DVD’s of all genres from individuals, video stores, and businesses. People can donate DVD's multiple ways; including through the mail, donation drop bins, and neighborhood donation campaigns. All donations are tax deductible.

Staffed entirely by volunteers Moviesforfree.org ships out the DVD libraries as soon as possible based upon the donations on hand.

Monetary donations are also needed for the shipping and handling costs involved in mailing the movies.

The founder of Moviesforfree.org John Gale, was on disability and unable to work at his job for two years. House bound, watching favorite movies took his mind off of his illness. This simple diversion became the foundation of Moviesforfree.org.

Organizations interested in the program as well as individuals wishing to make a donation are encouraged to visit the website at www.moviesforfree.org
